WESTWOOD PARISH COUNCIL - NOTICE OF MEETING

 

Notice is hereby given that the next meeting of the Westwood Parish Council will be held in the Parish Room on Monday 6 April 2009 at 7.30pm

 

 


 

 

AGENDA.

 

1.       Welcome and Introductions.

Chairman to welcome those present.

 

2.       Apologies.

To receive apologies for non-attendance.

 

3.       Minutes of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on 2 March 2009.

To agree, and sign, the minutes of the meeting as an accurate record.

 

4.       Adjournment (at 7.45 pm approx).

The Meeting will adjourn for members of the public present to raise any points of interest on any matter.

The meeting will then re-convene.

 

5.          Neighbourhood Policing.

a.       To invite the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) to report on any matters of concern.

b.       To advise the NPT of any matters that need to be brought to its attention.

 

6.       Sub-Committees.

 

Footpaths.

To review the Footpath sub-Committee Rights of Way Survey results (March).

 

Open Spaces.

a.       To receive a report from Open Spaces sub-Committee on current key issues.

b.       To note the inspection/maintenance reports for the Play Equipment (March) and to agree any necessary action.

 

Environmental.

a.              To receive a report from the Environmental sub-Committee on current key issues.

b.       To receive a report on the visit of the Parish Steward (26 March 2009).

 

Finance.

a.       To receive a report from the Clerk on the current financial position.

b.       To agree the payments to be made.

 

Planning.

a.              To note the status of the following planning applications and decide on the comments to be sent to Wiltshire Council:

 

09/00341                   Westwood School                  Single Storey Extension                      Permission.

09/00614                   3 Chestnut Grove                    Single Storey Rear Extension             NEW.

09/00661                   153 Upper Westwood             Porch & Rear and Side extension      NEW.

08/03030                   Land at Tynings Way              Two Residential Properties                Full Plan.

 

Note: Changes from previous meeting are shown in BOLD.

 

b.              To consider any planning applications received after 30 March 2009.

 

 

 

Note.

New Planning Applications are available for public inspection immediately prior to the Parish Council meeting.

 

c.              To receive a report from Cllr. Bishop on the Wiltshire Council Development Control procedure.

 

d.       To agree the process for commenting on planning applications and for requiring them to be placed before the Planning Committee if required.

 

Cemetery.

To receive a report from the Cemetery sub-Committee on current key issues.

 

7.       Internal Audit.           

To review the effectiveness of the Internal Audit and to agree any necessary changes.

 

8.       Co-option.

To agree the process for co-opting a new Parish Council member.

 

9.       Area Boards.

To decide whether to respond to the Consultation paper and, if so, to agree the comments to be sent to Wiltshire Council.

 

10.     Date of Parish Council Meeting.

 

To note the date of the next Meetings:

 

Annual Parish Council Monday 11 May 2009 at 7.30 pm.

Ordinary Parish Council - Monday 11 May 2009 at 8.00 pm.

 

11.     Any Other Business.

Exchange of views on matters not requiring a decision.
