WESTWOOD PARISH COUNCIL - NOTICE OF MEETING

 

Notice is hereby given that the next meeting of the Westwood Parish Council will be held in the Parish Room on Monday 2 December 2013 at 7.30pm.

 

AGENDA.

 

1.       Welcome and Introductions.

The Chairman to welcome those present.

 

2.       Apologies.

To receive apologies for non-attendance.

 

3.       Minutes of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on 4 November 2013.

To agree, and sign, the minutes of the meeting as an accurate record.

 

4.       Adjournment.

The Meeting will adjourn for members of the public present to raise any points of interest on any matter.

The meeting will then re-convene.

 

5.       Westwood Road Safety.

a.       To note the implementation of the Road Traffic Order (Westwood 20 mph Speed Limit).

b.       To note the ‘new’ Community Speed Watch scheme and to agree how to promote the scheme within the village and to encourage further volunteer support.

c.       To receive a report from Cllr. Richardson or councillors on any other road safety matters.

 

6.       Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT).

a.       To invite the NPT to report on any matters of concern.

b.       To advise the NPT of any matter that needs to be brought to its attention.

 

7.       Sub-Committees - Sub-Committee Reports.

 

Cemetery.

a.       To receive a report from the Cemetery sub-Committee on current key issues and to agree any necessary action.

b.       To agree any remedial action resulting from the recent Cemetery Safety Inspection.

 

Finance.

a.       To receive a report from the Clerk on the current financial position.

b.       To agree the payments to be made.

 

Open Spaces.

a.       To receive a report from the Open Spaces sub-Committee on current key issues and to agree any necessary action.

b.       To note the inspection/maintenance reports for the Play Equipment (November) and to agree any necessary action.

c.       To note the correspondence from a parishioner relating to dog fouling.

d.       To note any other related matters and to decide the action to be taken.

 

Environmental.

a.       To decide on the position of the ‘Road Name’ signs for Upper and Lower Westwood.

b.       To receive a report from the Environmental sub-Committee on any key issues and to agree any necessary action.

 

Planning.

a.       To note the status of the following planning applications:

b.       To agree the comments to be sent to Wiltshire Council in respect of the following planning applications:

c.       To agree the comments to be sent to Wiltshire Council in respect of planning applications received after 25 November 2013.

 

d.       To note/review any other planning matters.

 

New Planning Applications are available for public inspection immediately prior to the Parish Council meeting.

 

Footpaths.

To receive a report on the Footpath sub-Committee Rights of Way Survey results (November) and to agree any necessary action.

 

8.       Bradford on Avon Area Board/Community Area Transport Group.

a.       To note any matters relevant to Westwood that were raised at those recent meetings not already reported and/or that need to be presented at the forthcoming meetings.

b.       To note the reply from Cllr. Brown relating to ‘Grant Allocation’ and to agree any further action.

 

9.       Emergency Planning.

To decide the action to take in respect of the Draft Emergency Plan.

 

10.     Neighbourhood Plans.

To decide the action to take in respect of a Neighbourhood/Village Plan.

 

11.     Flood Prevention.

To note the Wiltshire Council ‘Flood Risk’ correspondence and decide the action necessary.

 

12.     Parish Council Surgery.

To decide if and when future Surgeries are to be held.

 

13.     Date of Parish Council Meeting.

To note the date of the next Ordinary Parish Council Meeting 6 January 2014.

 

14.     Any Other Business.

Exchange of views on matters not requiring a decision.

 

·    To note the proposed date for the Christmas Meal 18 December 2013 and to agree any necessary arrangements,
