WESTWOOD PARISH COUNCIL - NOTICE OF MEETING

Notice is hereby given that the next meeting of the Westwood Parish Council will be held the Parish Room, Farleigh Lane, Westwood on 3 February 2020 at 7.30pm.

 AGENDA.

 1.       Welcome and Introductions.

The Chairman to welcome those present.

2.       Apologies.

To receive and to accept apologies for non-attendance.

3.       Declaration of Interests.

Members to declare any interests in accordance with the Code of Conduct 2012.

4.       Minutes of Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on 6 January 2020.

To agree, and sign, the minutes of the meeting as an accurate record.

5.       Wiltshire Council Report.

To receive a report from Cllr. J Kidney.

6.       Adjournment.

The Meeting will adjourn for members of the public present to raise any points of interest on any matter.

The meeting will then reconvene.

7.       Community Policing Team (CPT).

a.       To invite the CPT to report on any matters of concern.

b.       To advise the CPT of any matter that needs to be brought to its attention.

8.       Community Speed Watch (CSW)/Westwood Road Safety.

To receive reports on Road Safety and Community Speed Watch.

Cemetery.

To receive a report from the Cemetery Working Group and the Clerk on current key issues and to agree any actions.

Planning.

b.       To examine any planning applications received after 28 January 2020 and to agree the comments to be sent to Wiltshire Council.

c.       To review/note any other planning matters.

Finance.

a.       To receive a report from the Clerk on the current financial position.

b.       To agree the payments to be made.

Environmental/Highways.

a.       To receive a report from the Environmental Working Group and to agree any necessary action.

b.       To note any matters raised by Westwood WATCH Group and to decide whether any action is necessary.

c.       To note the concern regarding parking in Farleigh Lane/New Inn and comments by Wiltshire Council. To decide any action necessary.

d.       To decide whether to commission the work by Acer in the Playing Field (£180/£640).

e.       To note the work being undertaken by Wales & West Utilities and to decide the action to be taken.

Open Spaces.

a.       To receive a report from the Open Spaces Working Group and to agree any necessary action.

b.       To receive a report on the progress of the Play Area refurbishment project/Play Area Grant application and to decide the action to be taken.

c.       To receive a report on any other related matter.

Footpaths.

a.       To receive a report on the Footpath Working Group Rights of Way Survey results (January) and to agree any necessary action.

b.       To note any other related matters and to decide the action to be taken.

9.       Westwood Nursery School.

a.       To note expressions of interest for the use of this building.

b.       To receive a report on the results of the regular inspection of the building (including the Asbestos Survey) and to decide if any action is necessary.

c.       To agree the process and timescale for the Nursery School to vacate the building and for a new use for the building to be agreed.

10.     Bradford on Avon Area Board/Community Area Transport Group (CATG).

To note any other matters relevant to Westwood that were raised at those recent meetings not already reported and/or that need to be presented at the forthcoming meetings.

11.     Neighbourhood Plan.

To receive a progress report on the Neighbourhood Plan and to agree any further actions necessary.

12.     Date of Next Meeting.

To note the date of the next Meeting: 

Ordinary Parish Council Meeting Monday 2 March 2020.

13.     Any Other Business.
