Notice is hereby given that the next meeting of the Westwood Parish Council will be held in the Parish Room on Monday 2 February 2015 at 7.30pm.



1.       Welcome and Introductions.

The Chairman to welcome those present.


2.       Declaration of Interests.

Members to declare any interests.


3.       Apologies.

To receive apologies for non-attendance.


4.       Minutes of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on 5 January 2015.

To agree, and sign, the minutes of the meeting as an accurate record.


5.       Adjournment.

The Meeting will adjourn for members of the public present to raise any points of interest on any matter.


6.       Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT).

a.       To invite the NPT to report on any matters of concern.

b.       To advise the NPT of any matter that needs to be brought to its attention.


7.       Neighbourhood Plan.

The Council is to review the progress of the Neighbourhood Plan and to agree any necessary action.


8.       Westwood Road Safety and Highways Matters.

To receive reports on Road Safety, Highway Matters and Community Speed Watch and to agree any necessary action.


9.       Sub-Committees - Sub-Committee Reports.



To receive a report from the Cemetery sub-Committee on current key issues and to agree any necessary action.



a.       To note the status of any outstanding planning applications.

b.       To agree the comments to be sent to Wiltshire Council in respect of planning applications received after 26 January 2015.

c.       To consider/propose any preferred facilities to be incorporated in the transformed Parish Room.

d.       To review/note any other planning matters.


New Planning Applications are available for public inspection immediately prior to the Parish Council meeting.



a.       To receive a report from the Clerk on the current financial position.

b.       To agree the payments to be made.



a.       To receive a report from the Environmental sub-Committee on any key issues and to agree any necessary action.

b.       To review the NPSG Survey responses and assigned responsibilities and to agree further actions.



Open Spaces.

a.       To receive a report from the Open Spaces sub-Committee on current key issues and to agree any necessary action.

b.       To agree the action to be taken to replace the ‘missing’ bollard at Westwood Park.

c.       To note the inspection/maintenance reports for the Play Equipment (January) and to agree any necessary action.

d.       To decide whether to install a tarmac path to the Play Area.

e.       To decide whether to invite tenders for the Open Space Maintenance contract and, if so, to nominate possible contractors.

f.        To note any other related matters and to decide the action to be taken.



a.       To receive a report on the Footpath sub-Committee Rights of Way Survey results (January) and to agree any necessary action.

b.       To note the outcome of the meeting to improve Path 30 (Avoncliff to Freshford).


10.     Bradford on Avon Area Board/Community Area Transport Group/Valley Parishes Alliance.

To note any matters relevant to Westwood that were raised at those recent meetings not already reported and/or that need to be presented at the forthcoming meetings.


11.     Date of Parish Council Meeting.

a.       To note the date of the next Ordinary Parish Council Meeting 2 March 2015 at 7.30pm.

b.       To agree the dates for the Annual Parish Meeting, the Ordinary Parish Council meeting in April and the Annual and Ordinary Parish Council meetings in May.


12.     Any Other Business.

Exchange of views on matters not requiring a decision.
