WESTWOOD PARISH COUNCIL - NOTICE OF MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the next meeting of the Westwood Parish Council will be held the Parish Room, Farleigh Lane, Westwood on 8 January 2018 at 7.30pm.
1. Welcome and Introductions.
The Chairman to welcome those present.
To receive apologies for non-attendance.
3. Declaration of Interests.
Members to declare any interests.
4. Minutes of Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on 4 December 2017.
To agree, and sign, the minutes of the meeting as an accurate record.
The Meeting will adjourn for members of the public present to raise any points of interest on any matter.
6. Community Policing Team (CPT).
a. To invite the CPT to report on any matters of concern.
b. To advise the CPT of any matter that needs to be brought to its attention.
7. Community Speed Watch (CSW)/Westwood Road Safety.
To receive reports on Road Safety and Community Speed Watch and to agree any actions.
8. Working Groups – Working Group Reports.
To receive a report from the Cemetery Working Group and the Clerk on current key issues and to agree any actions.
a. To note the status of extant planning applications.
Note. Paper copies of planning applications are no longer sent to the Parish Council by Wiltshire Council. To view planning applications it is necessary to access the Wiltshire Council website (www.wiltshire.gov.uk) and the planning portal.
b. To agree the comments to be sent to Wiltshire Council in respect of the following planning applications:
Cross Guns Inn
Regularise and replace existing unauthorised lighting
120 Upper Westwood
c. To examine any planning applications received after 2 January 2018 and to agree the comments to be sent to Wiltshire Council.
d. To review/note any other planning matters.
a. To receive a report from the Clerk on the current financial position.
b. To note the appointment of a new External Auditor for period FY2017/18 to FY2021/22 - PKF Littlejohn LLP.
c. To agree the Budget for FY2018/19 including consideration of a forward plan for the progressive replacement of the Play equipment.
d. To agree the payments to be made.
a. To receive a report from the Environmental Working Group on any key issues and to agree any necessary action.
b. To decide whether to adopt the telephone kiosk at Lower Westwood.
NB. The Chairman will adjourn the meeting for a presentation to be made by a group requesting the adoption of the telephone kiosk.
c. To note any other related matters and to decide the action to be taken.
a. To receive a report from the Open Spaces Working Group on current key issues and to agree any necessary action.
b. To note the inspection/maintenance reports for the Play Equipment (December) and to agree any necessary action.
a. To receive a report on the Footpath Working Group Rights of Way Survey results (December) and to agree any necessary action.
b. To note any other related matters and to decide the action to be taken.
9. Bradford on Avon Area Board/Community Area Transport Group (CATG).
To note any matters relevant to Westwood that were raised at those recent meetings – not already reported – and/or that need to be presented at the forthcoming meetings.
NB. Speed Limit reduction on C216 Elms Cross road to be advised to BoA CATG.
10. Neighbourhood Plan.
To receive a progress report on the Neighbourhood Plan and to agree any further actions necessary.
11. Date of Next Meeting.
To note the date of the next Parish Council Meetings:
· Ordinary PC Meetings – 5 February 2018, 5 March 2018.
12. Any Other Business.
