WESTWOOD PARISH COUNCIL - NOTICE OF MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the next meeting of the Westwood Parish Council will be held in the Parish Room on
Monday 9 May 2011 at 8.00pm
1. Welcome and Introductions.
The Chairman to welcome those present.
To receive apologies for non-attendance.
3. Minutes of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on 4 April 2011.
To agree, and sign, the minutes of the meeting as an accurate record.
The Meeting will adjourn for members of the public present to raise any points of interest on any matter.
The meeting will then re-convene.
5. Westwood Road Safety.
a. Cllr. Bishop to provide a report on the current position and to report on the progress of the ’Westwood 20 mph Speed Limit Trial’.
b. Cllr. Richardson to provide a report on the Community Area Transport Group meeting.
c. To note the progress of the Community Grant application and to decide if any further action is required.
6. Neighbourhood Policing.
a. To invite the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) to report on any matters of concern.
b. To advise the NPT of any matter that needs to be brought to its attention.
7. Bradford on Avon Community Area Board.
a. To receive a report on the ‘Big Society and Localism’ Seminar – 6 April 2011.
b. To agree any matters that need to be raised at the next Area Board meeting (11 May 2011).
c. To agree the attendance at the Area Board (Community Grant application possibly on Agenda).
8. Sub-Committees - Sub-Committee Reports.
To review the Footpath sub-Committee Rights of Way Survey results (April).
a. To note the status of the following planning applications:
W/11/00829/FUL 17 Bobbin Lane Single Storey Extension and alterations. Permission
b. To agree/endorse the comments to be sent to Wiltshire Council in respect of the following planning application:
W/11/01113/FUL 1 Ancliff Square Installation of photovoltaic panels NEW
W/11/01186/TCA 8 Ancliff Square Tree works NEW
W/11/01281/FUL 5 The Laurels Air Heat Source Pump NEW
W/11/01306/FUL 12 Ancliff Square Installation of photovoltaic solar panels NEW
c. To consider any planning applications received after 4 May 2011.
d. To review any other planning matters.
New Planning Applications are available for public inspection immediately prior to the Parish Council meeting.
a. To receive a report from the Cemetery sub-Committee on current key issues.
b. To note the correspondence in relation to the Closed Churchyard/Cemetery Grant.
a. To receive a report from the Clerk on the current financial position.
b. To agree the payments to be made.
c. To note the letter of thanks from the Westwood Flower Show Committee.
a. To receive a report from Open Spaces sub-Committee on current key issues.
b. To note the inspection/maintenance reports for the Play Equipment (April) and to agree any necessary action.
c. To note the letters from a parishioner in relation to the Playing Field.
To receive a report from the Environmental sub-Committee on current key issues.
9. Valley Parishes Alliance.
a. Cllr. Edwards to report to the Council on current developments.
b. To endorse the actions taken by Cllr. Edwards under delegated authority from Westwood Parish Council in respect of decisions by the VPA.
10. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration 2012.
To decide whether any action is to be taken by the Parish Council.
11. Date of Parish Council Meeting.
To note the date of the next Parish Council Meetings:
· Ordinary Parish Council meeting – Monday 6 June 2011 at 7.30pm.
· Annual Parish meeting – Tuesday 10 May 2011.
12. Any Other Business.
