WESTWOOD PARISH COUNCIL - NOTICE OF MEETING Notice is hereby given that the next meeting of the Westwood Parish Council will be held in the Parish Room on Monday 12 September 2011 at 7.30pm AGENDA. 1. Welcome and Introductions. a. To appoint a Chairman for the meeting. b. The Chairman to welcome those present. 2. Apologies. To receive apologies for non-attendance. 3. Minutes of the Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on 4 July 2011. To agree, and sign, the minutes of the meeting as an accurate record. 4. Adjournment. The Meeting will adjourn for members of the public present to raise any points of interest on any matter. The meeting will then re-convene. a. To receive a report on the current position and to report on the progress of the ’Westwood 20 mph Speed Limit Trial’. b. To note the progress of the Community Grant application and to decide if any further action is required. 6. Neighbourhood Policing. a. To invite the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) to report on any matters of concern. b. To advise the NPT of any matter that needs to be brought to its attention. 7. Bradford on To note any matters that were raised at the Area Board meeting held on 20 July 2011. 8. Sub-Committees - Sub-Committee Reports. Environmental. To receive a report from the Environmental sub-Committee on current key issues. Footpaths. To review the Footpath sub-Committee Rights of Way Survey results (July/August). Planning. a. To note the status of the following planning applications: W/11/01622/FUL 11 Ancliff Square Single Storey Extension Permission W/11/01632/FUL W/11/01848/FUL 101 W/11/02028/FUL Elms Cross/Westwood Agricultural Building Pending (Retrospective) b. To consider any planning applications received after 4 September 2011. c. To review any other planning matters. Note. New Planning Applications are available for public inspection immediately prior to the Parish Council meeting. Cemetery. a. To receive a report from the Cemetery sub-Committee on current key issues. b. To note the recent burial and memorial application. c. To agree to purchase a new Burial Register and Exclusive Rights Register. d. To note any correspondence in relation to the Closed Churchyard/Cemetery Grant and to agree any further action. Finance. a. To receive a report from the Clerk on the current financial position. b. To note the report from the External Auditor in respect of the FY2010/11 Accounts. c. To agree the payments to be made. Open Spaces. a. To receive a report from Open Spaces sub-Committee on current key issues. b. To note the inspection/maintenance reports for the Play Equipment (July/August) and to agree any necessary action. 9. NHS Wiltshire – Practice Amalgamation. To decide whether to make any representations. 10. Valley Parishes a. Cllr. Edwards to report to the Council on current developments. b. To endorse the actions taken by Cllr. Edwards under delegated authority from Westwood Parish Council in respect of decisions by the VPA. 11. Date of Parish Council Meeting. To note the date of the next Parish Council Meeting: · Ordinary Parish Council meeting – Monday 3 October 2011 at 7.30pm. 12. Any Other Business. Exchange of views on matters not requiring a decision. · Wiltshire Police – New Non-Emergency Telephone No. · Wiltshire Council – New Waste and Recycling Collection Service. · Wiltshire Council – Redemption Service. · The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration 2012. · Westwood Update Adverts.
