Lower Westwood traffic videos

The two videos below were made before the introduction of the 20 mph trial speed limit.  The top video is driving through the village heading west towards Freshford, Limpley Stoke and the A36 to Bath and Bristol.

Video below is of driving east along Lower Westwood road

I have made an Excel based calculator that can be used to check a vehicle's road speed. The speed is calculated from a video and requires a distance to work. The video provides the necessary time data. I made the recordings and can state that my average speed driving west was 20 mph. My average speed driving east was 24 mph.  The distance from coming into the village and leaving (Elms Cross rd crossroads) is one mile according to MS Autoroute - I thought it was less than a mile so will double check. Note that with these averages under the present mph speed limit I would be breaking the law somewhere en-route.

I will add a link to the Excel calculator file and will add some more specific speeds to this article later.
