Westwood Speedwatch May 2018
recently taken over from Alan Wheals who held the role with distinction for
about 4 years.
Wiltshire CSW Teams counting last month Westwood was:
The 3rd worst for percentage of speeders (25mph and over) ;
The 2nd worst for percentage of excessive speeders (30mph and over).
clearly disappointing; however looking back at past data we have seen the percentage
of speeders drop from an initial level of 13% to 8%.
one of the worst places for speeding last month we can expect a Police check in
the near future; this being a new Police initiative to target worst cases.
welcome a new member shortly having undergone the training course at Devizes
Headquarters. If anyone else is
concerned about speeding in Westwood and fancies coming onto the Team then
please contact us. We only go out about every other month, count on
random days and times and you only need to make yourselves available for a few

Community Speed Watch 29, December 2017
This CSW period at the beginning of
December was adversely affected by the weather and only three sessions were
(partially) completed. The total number of vehicles monitored was 488. Thirty
nine vehicles were speeding at 25mph or more including 5 that were speeding at
30 mph or more. These values are typical and continue to reflect the continuing
reduction in speeding since the CSW teams started 4 years ago
